CASSANDRA
CHAMBERLAIN
Cassandra Chamberlain has been teaching on-camera film technique for
more than 15 years to actors in LA, San Francisco, Hawaii and
Seattle. Many of her students have gone on to work in film and
television in starring and supporting roles, including a recent
James Bond Film.
She and her husband recently moved to Mercer Island, where she
founded "The Actor's Studio NW".
Prior to moving to Mercer Island, Cassandra was living in Kauai,
Hawaii, for 2.5 years, where she was artistic director for Hawaii
Children's Theatre. Cassandra directed the Tony award winning Cathy
Rigby version of Peter Pan, with a 22-piece orchestra. She was
honored by the Mayor of Kauai in a special ceremony and given an
award for her outstanding production. She also produced workshops
for actors, workshops for SAG in Honolulu, and taught film classes.
She did private coaching, and script consulting on a feature film to
be shot in China.
Before moving to
Hawaii, Cassandra founded The Actor's Studio of Sausalito,
California, where, for several years, she taught, directed,
produced, and cast local films. She has written and directed several
short films, Industry showcases, plays, commercials, and
feature-length screenplays.
Prior to Sausalito,
she lived in Southern California with her family, working as a
professional actor, drama coach, filmmaker, as well as wearing
several other hats within the Hollywood Film Community.
Her film studies were
at UCLA, AFI, Sony Institute of Technology, and Orange Coast
College. |
